You might have already noticed, but this month, we decided to do things a little differently.  Here at The Chocolate Society, almost all of us have some personal connection to breast cancer and its impact on everyday life. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we wanted to mark the occasion by creating this beautiful, limited edition, pink box of the month. Not only is it pretty and obviously delicious, but it’s also practical.

For every box sold, we’ll donate 10% of its sale to a leading breast cancer charity.

We’ve been extremely fortunate in recent months to have received such an outpouring of support from our customers, but sadly this hasn’t been the case for every industry. In times like these, we feel it’s really important to give back to those who need it most, and in supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month we hope that you’ll enjoy extremely delicious chocolate, safe in the knowledge that they’re doing a little good further afield too.

It’s likely that we’ll all know someone who has been personally affected by breast cancer, either first or second hand.  It’s the most common cancer in women in the UK with one woman diagnosed every 10 minutes. That’s around 55,000 women and 370 men diagnosed with breast cancer every year in the UK.

We hope to be able to make a donation to Breast Cancer Now, which will help to make sure that the world class research taking place in the Breast Cancer Labs and the life-changing care and support they provide to those who need it can continue well into the future.  Breast Cancer Now fund a third of all breast cancer research in the UK and their work crosses 33 locations in 24 cities in the UK and Ireland with a further 4 international locations in Europe.

We hope that in creating these delicious chocolates, not only will you enjoy eating them, but we’ll also be able to contribute to the vital work that Breast Cancer Now have done, and continue to do, throughout the corona virus pandemic.

Keeping to a theme, our talented chocolatiers put their heads together and came up with six stunning, pink flavours in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month:

  • Pink Sea Salt & Pistachio Praline
  • Pink Champagne
  • Pink Grapefruit & Vanilla
  • Pink Rose
  • Pink Gin & Raspberry
  • Pink Ruby Ganache

We really hope that you enjoy this limited run of chocolates, we’re really excited by the prospect of making a difference and giving a little back in a time where, now more than ever, it’s vital to give back when we can.
