As a small artisan chocolate company, we take our sourcing very seriously, which is why we took a long time to decide to partner with family run Luker chocolate in Colombia for the majority of our chocolate.
Luker Chocolate source their cocoa beans from all around Colombia and turn the beans into chocolate in their factory in the capital of Colombia; Bogota.
Once the chocolate has been made, it is then transported to our factory in Somerset, where our talented team of chocolatiers turn it into the truffles, malt balls, bars and honeycomb that our customers love and trust.
The reason why we love the Luker chocolate business model is that unlike other chocolate producers, Luker Chocolate are turning their cocoa beans into chocolate in the country in which they grow. This means that all the multiplier effects of commerce are benefiting the Colombian society, in a legal, sustainable and scalable way.
As a result of our growing relationship with Luker chocolate, we invited some of the Luker team to visit our factory to see how the chocolate they make in Colombia is turned into our famous The Chocolate Society creations.
As part of the team to visit we were honoured to have Camilo Romero the CEO of Luker chocolate visit our factory to see what we do and also to help advise us on how we can be a progressive sustainable business for the future.
It was a great day for the whole team in the factory to meet some of the Luker team and we look forward to their next visit.

Such a lovely story of how inter-connected we are and how a company here in Bruton can support a community in Colombia – and vice versa. Building strong and fair relationships while making delicious chocolate is truly good business. Thank you!
