We love the Gail's Bakery brand, and when the opportunity to attend their annual summer party in Hampstead arose, we jumped at the chance.
The garden party is held in September, and along with their own products, they invite a few select artisan manufacturers to attend too. Along with some great food producers, the party has a real carnival atmosphere with live music and entertainment.
This year we took along just our brand Hokey Pokey, and a few boxes of our new Liquid Salt Caramels. The garden party is held in a small alleyway called Oriel Place in Hampstead linking Hampstead High Street and Heath Street. Oriel Place tends to be shaded for the most of the day, which was fortunate for us as it meant that our chocolates stayed out of the sun on a perfect early Autumn day.
Gail's really is a bakery that is part of the local community and the number of visitors to their garden party was testament to their popularity.
On the day we sold lots and lots of honeycomb, and the feedback we got on the product was fantastic - with one customer declaring we must open a shop in the local area purely making and selling our artisan chocolate honeycomb!
